The University of Oregon (UO) is a public national academic university in Eugene, Oregon, located in the United States. It has founded 19 research institutes and centers since 1876. There are five universities, seven professional schools, and a doctoral school at the university. It offers courses in many fields, including arts and sciences, accounting, and business, and has 272 university courses. The University of Oregon has more than eighty buildings, an arboretum, museums with library collections, and a wide range of educational technology and media services. The established UO student body includes students from all 50 states as well as 89 countries around the world. Oregon is well-known not only for its academic success but also for its Oregon Ducks in football and track and field programs.
