This Power System Analysis Course is mainly for undergraduate third-year Electrical Engineering students, which will introduce and explain the fundamental concepts in the field of electrical power system engineering. The basic concepts of per unit system will be introduced along with their applications in circuit applications. Transmission line parameters, their calculations, and the modeling will be introduced. Basic load flow algorithms will be covered in details along with short-circuit analysis and the method of symmetrical components. Unbalanced fault analysis and basic power system stability analysis will also be covered in these lecture series. By the end of the course, the students should be able to gather high-quality knowledge of electrical power system components, its operation strategies, and stability analysis.
Syllabus of this Power System Analysis Course:
This Power System Analysis course has a variety of topics discussed in detail, which are as follows.
- First, you will understand the structure of the power system and few other aspects in a step-by-step guide.
- Then the instructor will talk about resistance, inductance, and capacitance of transmission lines.
- Similarly, going further you will get a chance to understand what power system components are.
- Next, the instructor will explain the per-unit system in detail.
- In addition, you will also learn about the characteristics and performance of transmission lines.
The Power System Analysis course is divided into different weeks and each week contains unique topics that will be taught to you in the most effective possible manner.
- Now going further, you will understand what load flow analysis is. This topic is a little tricky and that is why the instructor has given detailed information about it.

Certificate of Completion:
This power system analysis course is free to enroll in and there are no requirements. All you need to do is visit the website, find this course, and enroll in it and start learning whenever you want for free. But if you wish to earn a certificate of completion, then for this you need to register and write the proctored exam conducted by the administration at any of the designated exam centers.
Note that the examination fee is Rs 1000.
Once you register yourself for the exam and pay the fee all that is left for you is to take the exam and pass it. To get the certificate of completion there is a set criteria which you have to keep in mind.
- 25% of average of 8 best assignments out of 12 will be counted.
- With that, 75% of the proctored certification exam score out of 100 will be counted.
- And this is what your final score will be.
- Final score = Average assignment score + exam score.
Thus, know that you will only gain a certificate of completion if your average assignment score >= 10/25 and your exam score is >= 30/75.
For any reason, if one of the 2 criteria is not met, then there is no chance of you getting a certificate even if your final score is >= 40/100.
