The Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification was ranked one of the top paying IT certifications of 2019 by Global Knowledge. This program provides the skills you need to advance your career in cloud architecture and provides a pathway to earn the industry-recognized Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification. You’ll deploy solution elements, including infrastructure components such as networks, systems and applications services, and you’ll gain real world experience through a number of hands-on Qwiklabs projects that you can share with potential employers. You’ll also have the opportunity to practice key job skills, including case analysis, identifying technical watchpoints, and developing proposed solutions and test your basic abilities with Activity Tracking Challenge Labs. For learners looking to get certified, this program will also provide sample questions similar to those on the exam, including solutions and practice exam quizzes that simulate the exam-taking experience.

Upon successful completion of this program, you will earn a certificate of completion to share with your professional network and potential employers. If you’d like to earn your Google Cloud certification, you will need to register for and pass the certification exam. Please note that this program helps equip you with the skills you need to take the certification exam, but the certification and certification fee is not included in the cost of this training program

COURSE 1: Google Cloud Platform Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure

This course introduces you to important concepts and terminology for working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You learn about, and compare, many of the computing and storage services available in Google Cloud Platform, including Google App Engine, Google Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine, Google Cloud Storage, Google Cloud SQL, and BigQuery. You learn about important resource and policy management tools, such as the Google Cloud Resource Manager hierarchy and Google Cloud Identity and Access Management. Hands-on labs give you foundational skills for working with GCP.

COURSE 2: Essential Google Cloud Infrastructure: Foundation

This accelerated on-demand course introduces participants to the comprehensive and flexible infrastructure and platform services provided by Google Cloud with a focus on Compute Engine. Through a combination of video lectures, demos, and hands-on labs, participants explore and deploy solution elements, including infrastructure components such as networks, virtual machines and applications services. You will learn how to use the Google Cloud through the console and Cloud Shell. You’ll also learn about the role of a cloud architect, approaches to infrastructure design, and virtual networking configuration with Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Projects, Networks, Subnetworks, IP addresses, Routes, and Firewall rules.

Prerequisites: To get the most out of this course, participants should have:

• Completed Google Cloud Fundamentals Core Infrastructure or have equivalent experience

• Basic proficiency with command-line tools and Linux operating system environments

• Systems Operations experience including deploying and managing applications, either on-premises or in a public cloud environment

COURSE 3: Essential Google Cloud Infrastructure: Core Services

This accelerated on-demand course introduces participants to the comprehensive and flexible infrastructure and platform services provided by Google Cloud with a focus on Compute Engine. Through a combination of video lectures, demos, and hands-on labs, participants explore and deploy solution elements, including infrastructure components such as networks, systems and applications services. This course also covers deploying practical solutions including customer-supplied encryption keys, security and access management, quotas and billing, and resource monitoring.

Prerequisites:
To get the most out of this course, participants should have:
• Completed Google Cloud Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure or have equivalent experience
• Completed Essential Google Cloud Infrastructure: Foundation or have equivalent experience
• Basic proficiency with command-line tools and Linux operating system environments
• Systems Operations experience including deploying and managing applications, either on-premises or in a public cloud environment

COURSE 4: Elastic Google Cloud Infrastructure: Scaling and Automation

This accelerated on-demand course introduces participants to the comprehensive and flexible infrastructure and platform services provided by Google Cloud. Through a combination of video lectures, demos, and hands-on labs, participants explore and deploy solution elements, including securely interconnecting networks, load balancing, autoscaling, infrastructure automation and managed services.

Prerequisites:
To get the most out of this course, participants should have:
• Completed Google Cloud Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure or have equivalent experience
• Completed Essential Google Cloud Infrastructure: Foundation or have equivalent experience
• Completed Essential Google Cloud Infrastructure: Core Services or have equivalent experience
• Basic proficiency with command-line tools and Linux operating system environments
• Systems Operations experience including deploying and managing applications, either on-premises or in a public cloud environment

COURSE 5: Reliable Google Cloud Infrastructure: Design and Process

This course equips students to build highly reliable and efficient solutions on Google Cloud using proven design patterns. It is a continuation of the Architecting with Google Compute Engine or Architecting with Google Kubernetes Engine courses and assumes hands-on experience with the technologies covered in either of those courses. Through a combination of presentations, design activities, and hands-on labs, participants learn to define and balance business and technical requirements to design Google Cloud deployments that are highly reliable, highly available, secure, and cost-effective.

This course teaches participants the following skills:
● Apply a tool set of questions, techniques, and design considerations
● Define application requirements and express them objectively as KPIs, SLOs and SLIs
● Decompose application requirements to find the right microservice boundaries
● Leverage Google Cloud developer tools to set up modern, automated deployment pipelines
● Choose the appropriate Cloud Storage services based on application requirements
● Architect cloud and hybrid networks
● Implement reliable, scalable, resilient applications balancing key performance metrics with cost
● Choose the right Google Cloud deployment services for your applications
● Secure cloud applications, data, and infrastructure
● Monitor service level objectives and costs using Google Cloud tools

Prerequisites
● Completion of prior courses in the Architecting with Google Cloud Platform Specialization, Architecting with Google Kubernetes Engine or have equivalent experience
● Basic proficiency with command-line tools and Linux operating system environments
● Systems Operations experience including deploying and managing applications, either on-premises or in a public cloud
environment

COURSE 6: Architecting with Google Kubernetes Engine: Foundations

In this course, “Architecting with Google Kubernetes Engine: Foundations,” you get a review of the layout and principles of Google Cloud Platform, followed by an introduction to creating and managing software containers and an introduction to the architecture of Kubernetes.

This course is part of a specialization focused on building efficient computing infrastructures using Kubernetes and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). The specialization introduces participants to deploying and managing containerized applications on GKE and the other services provided by Google Cloud Platform. Through a combination of presentations, demos, and hands-on labs, participants explore and deploy solution elements, including infrastructure components such as pods, containers, deployments, and services; as well as networks and application services. The specialization also covers deploying practical solutions including security and access management, resource management, and resource monitoring.

COURSE 7: Preparing for the Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect Exam

This course uses a top-down approach to recognize knowledge and skills already known, and to surface information and skill areas for additional preparation. You can use this course to help create your own custom preparation plan. It helps you distinguish what you know from what you don’t know. And it helps you develop and practice skills required of practitioners who perform this job.

The course follows the organization of the Exam Guide outline, presenting highest-level concepts, “touchstones”, for you to determine whether you feel confident about your knowledge of that area and its dependent concepts, or if you want more study. You also will learn about and have the opportunity to practice key job skills, including cognitive skills such as case analysis, identifying technical watchpoints, and developing proposed solutions. These are job skills that are also exam skills. You will also test your basic abilities with Activity Tracking Challenge Labs. And you will have many sample questions similar to those on the exam, including solutions. The end of the course contains an ungraded practice exam quiz, followed by a graded practice exam quiz that simulates the exam-taking experience.
