• He wrote a popular textbook on cybersecurity and that book has been adopted by over 247 schools worldwide. Professor Du’s SEED project was also highlighted by the National Science Foundation in a report sent to Congress. Due to this, he received the “2017 Academic Leadership” award from the 21st Colloquium for Information System Security Education.
• Similarly, in 2019 Syracuse University awarded him with the Meredith Professorship and it is considered to be the University’s most prestigious honor for teaching excellence.
